Join our Schmooze Family members, Jenny Atkinson, Rob Atkinson, Buwa, Dean Chadwick, Jocelyn Dickson, Padraig Hogan, Jay Kell, Jennifer Kelly, Amber Lochead, Jill Mont, Rod Mont, Miranda Murphy, Shane Murphy, Hope Myre, Nico Rhodes and Braeja Short performing a wonderful collection of traditional Christmas Carols to help fundraise for Schmooze Productions after the devastating effects of the COVID-19 Pandemic. A Pre-Order of the Digital Download of the album is available now. The album will officially be released December 4, 2020
We are hoping you will sponsor an ad for one of our traditional Christmas carols during each performance. Each song sponsor will be aknowledged during the introduction of the song and singers.
We have room for two sponsors per song, and 11 songs in total.
Purpose of Event: A musical presentation of Making Spirits Bright ~ A Traditional Family Christmas Album as part of a Co-Production of A Christmas Carol to help fundraise after the devastating effects of the COVID-19 Pandemic. All of the musicians, singers, and technicians have donated their immense talents to help make this album. A special thank you to Bruce Gerrish of Cozy Shack Productions for mixing and recording Making Spirits Bright!
Expected # of Attendees: As this is our premier production using the Harbour City Theatre’snew Hybrid Streaming Studio, we are excited to extend our normal audience reach to include all of Vancouver Island, and, in theory, all over the globe. Our expectations for our audience size is therefore unknown but very optimistic. Normally, our audience reach in the theatre would be about 400.
How will this sponsorship benefit the community?: Schmooze Productions, a semiprofessional live theatre company, is a major contributor to the Harbour City Theatre Alliance Society. Your sponsorship will help us weather the storm of the Covid-19 Pandemic and its devastating effects on the arts. In turn, we can continue to pay a monthly lease to the society to aid in keeping their doors open for all the major theatre companies in Nanaimo, including Western Edge, Merrick Productions, Crimson Coast Dance, and Nanaimo Fringe Festival, as well as continue offering outreach opportunities for the students of VIU Theatre program. Schmooze uses local actors, technicians, designers, musicians, and directors.
How will you benefit from this sponsorship?: Our devoted patrons are also devoted to businesses who support live theatre. They are a supportive group, between 19 – 75 years old. Our main clientele are middle class, and between the ages of 35 – 55. They also have access to disposable income. Our sponsors have reported back to us on numerous occasions that new customers have credited the business sponsorship of live theatre as a main reason for choosing their business. Your business will be heavily recognized throughout the rehearsal and performance dates.
